Extraordinary minds do not need to seek validation from outside opinion or through the attainment of goals. Instead, they are truly at peace with themselves and the world around them. They live fearlessly – immune to criticism or praise and fueled by their own inner happiness and self-love.

Vishen Lakhiani – Mindvalley

This quote inspired me today. It inspired me to speak up.

And that is what just did. I told someone who hurt me last year what the situation did to me. Regardless of the outcome. I did not fear criticism or rejection anymore.

It all started as a conflict in my academic job. Scientific harassment was in place. And I was overwhelmed with fear, like so many people experiencing this.

But interestingly enough, this conflict also gave me a huge opportunity to grow. I stepped into personal development and found inner peace. And trust in me.

So I became an extraordinary mind. I feel that my happiness is not dependent anymore on what other people think or say. I am enough.

When I stepped into the unknown talking to this professor, I knew and felt that the ‘true me’ would survive. Irrespective of the outcome.

And that is exactly what happened. I listened to my intuition, shared my side of the story, and he listened. And understood. And even apologized, as his intentions were not to cause me harm.

How the future will look like, no one knows. But I do know that the inner peace and strength I have built will be of incredible value for everything I encounter in the future. And I feel grateful.
